walking in the dark

they may take their lanterns and light them
and we’ll search the tunnels for gas fumes
and break rocks with our hammers and
drill oil to light our world but we’ll still be

walking in the dark

you may take your torches and turn them on
and we’ll search the caves for matchsticks
and twist metal with our wrenches and
chop wood to light our plane but we’ll still be

walking in the dark

i may take my hands and set them on fire
and we’ll search men’s hearts for warmth or care
and we’ll bend minds with madness and
read books to light our existence but we’ll still be

walking in the dark

when will we understand we need to leave the catacombs
and live in the sunlight?

    I think you were right about the tree with the flowers and berries on the other blog. I looked at the link you provided and it said regular rings on the trunk which the picture shown has… Nice detective work!
